FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many dogs do you walk at once?

We walk no more than 6 (per person) at a time, and groups are matched on energy levels as much as possible to ensure all dogs make the most of their time with us.

Do I need to be home upon collection / drop off?

No, we will however require a spare key for your home and instructions for where the dog is left when no one is home. ie crate, shut in the kitchen etc.

Do you clean the dogs before dropping them home?

Sadly we do not have enough hours in the day to clean all of our dogs off upon dropping them home. If we cleaned them all we would never get home ourselves! we will give them a rough towel dry if they are really mucky, but suggest having no white carpets or velvet sofas wherever you have asked us to leave your dog after walkie’s!

My puppy is too young to walk for hours, but I have to work during the day. What do I do?

Even the littlest of pooches can come for walkie’s, and even full days! We have purpose made puppy ‘papouses’. These are a great way for the puppies to get used to everything before they start attending ‘full days at school’. Also a fab way to receive funny looks off the public.

My puppy needs lunch, will you be able to feed him/her?

Of course! We ask that you send you pup to school with a packed lunch box, in a plastic sandwich bag or a tupperware box. Or leave it out for when we get home.

Do you walk any aggressive or reactive dogs?

Blanket rule, No. Absoloutely no exceptions. All of the dogs we walk are trialed and tested, an aggressive will NEVER be part of our pack.

However, should you have a reactive dog that requires walking, we love all dogs and will be happy to help if we can. Please enquire about *solo walks*.

Do you walk any aggressive dog breeds?

At K9s, we do not tolerate breed specific prejudice. All of the dogs we walk are very friendly. Please enquire further if you have any concerns surrounding this.

My dog can’t come off the lead. Is this a problem?

This is no problem for us at K9s. We have access to a private dog-secure piece of land. Your dog can run to its heart content completely safe. Alternatively, if your dog is happy to walk at your side on a lead they are always welcome to come along for woodland walks too.

Can I come with my dog on their first walk?

We know it can be scary to send your furry baby off to school for the first time, however owners are not encouraged to tag along. It can make the process and adjustment a lot more stressful for your dog, and they will struggle to integrate.

Do you walk all weather?

Yes, we do. Unless the roads are unsafe to drive, we will always head out rain or shine to pick up your pooches!

How do I pay?

We send out monthly invoices on the last working day of each month. Alternatively you can leave cash. It’s up to you.

Do you offer weekend walks?

Unfortunately we do not do any weekend walks unless in cases of extreme emergency, or we have a dog that we are caring for overnight care.

Are you insured/canine first aid trained?

Yes, it is a requirement for all team members to have their own personal insurance, and everyone has completed canine first aid courses.
